很巧，2個女兒這個月都榮膺”Student of the Month”。
Student of the Month其實就是每個月的模範生的意思。全校30多位導師，每個月會針對不同的品格主題，在自己教的學生中選出一位最符合該主題的模範生，這個月的主題是”Responsibility(負責)”。
21日下午放學後，2個女兒同時告訴媽媽她們是Student of the Month，並Show出她們拿到的獎狀及獎品。女兒聽起來口氣平穩，媽媽卻是興奮異常，深感榮耀，不斷地向女兒尋問有關Student of the Month的各項”細節”。女兒在這之前，完全不知道自己”雀屏中選”，Jessica是一早進Homeroom教室，看到白板上大大的自己的名字，才知道自己被Homeroom teacher (導師) Mrs. Knutson選為這個月的Student of the Month，而且老師不一會兒便通知Jessica到圖書館接受頒獎。
Amber的情況則有點離譜，是到第5節上課時，學校office的人跑來請Amber到office，才知道自己竟然被LA/SS老師Ms. Wagner選為Student of the Month，也因此錯過了早上的頒獎典禮！原來Amber的Homeroom teacher Mrs. Anderson認為自己沒提名，班上應該就不會有學生獲獎而忽略了，以致於不知Amber被別科老師提名而錯過了！
頒獎典禮在圖書館舉行，得獎人分別被叫上台，由副校長念出得獎原因並頒發獎狀，再從校長手中領過獎品－印有”Student of the Month”的榮譽鉛筆一枝。
Ms. Wagner提名Amber的原因是”Amber always is prepared for class and uses her class time wisely. She is also instrumental in keeping others on task as well.”
Mrs. Knutson提名Jessica的原因是”Jessica always comes to class prepared. She completes all of her homework on time and is an excellent citizen in our class.”
女兒雖然對於自己被提名沒什麼太大的興奮，但爸爸媽媽都覺得很榮耀，因為能善盡自己的責任可是在未來生活中很重要的品格哦！
